Time Flies! And So Did I

Hello Again Everybody!

Time sure flies. I too have been flying in the past few weeks. Lots of travelling going on and I’ve once again been unable to keep my promises 😦 That makes me very very sad. But I just can’t stop coming back to this blog as it’s something for which I have a lot of drive and passion. The only issue is that something always seems to crop up whenever I decide to devote some serious time to this activity/potential world changing research. During my travels, I’ve been eating horribly and have packed on quite a few pounds (12 for the curious among you). So before anything else happens, those pounds have gotta go!

The good news is that where I’m going now, I’ll be there for the next 4 months at least. So that should give me plenty of time to conduct some meaningful research and experimentation. I also plan to control my diet a little bit more and work on locating the points to which pressure needs to be applied more accurately.

My next post in all likelihood will be after 1.5-2 weeks.

Until Then, I’d like to thank everyone for periodically checking this blog for an update and I’d also like to apologize for the disappointment you may have felt in most of the times.

Thanks Again!

A Slight Change of Plan

Hi Everybody,

I was just taking a couple of pictures for comparison and I decided to update you on one small change that I’ll be making to them. First, I don’t think I’ll have the black background I usually had, and more importantly, I’ve done away with the small black lines on the finger as it was getting difficult to maintain them and also because I have to go to work and it looks kinda awkward to have ink lines on your fingers.

Images coming soon! I have high hopes for success this time.

My Expectations

Hello Again Everybody!

In this post, I’m going to list out my expectations with this LSJL experiment. I’m going to be using pretty much the same routine as before. I will only be applying pressure slightly below the joints. I will NOT be tapping or hitting anything with weights. I’m going to use the routine of the ring finger of my left hand and will measure once every week or at most twice a week.

I expect to see very little changes in the first month and a half. After that, I presume that the gains in finger width will be comparably greater than length. I’m OK with this, I don’t mind having thick fingers. Further more, I’m a little concerned about possible pain and injury. If any of you, Tyler in particular, have any ideas to prevent injuries or anything I should be cautious about, please voice them in the comments below. This time, I’m going to log everything I eat and do along with the loading and progress. Hopefully, we should see some satisfactory results by the end of the second month, i.e. by the 8-10th post from now.

Once Again, I’m Back (This Time, For Good)

I tend to keep paraphrasing Arnold’s most famous line repeatedly. Yes, once again after a long absence, I have again resumed testing. This time, though, I’ll be using my fingers to do the pressing and then gradually start using the tiny C-Clamp you’ve seen before. Moreover, I’ll be going through Tyler’s blog and will post simplified versions of some of his posts. I can only hope that he’s still ok with this.

Additionally, allow me to explain my long absence. In the beginning of this blog, I started out with a lot of enthusiasm however, I soon figured out that I would have to get in much better shape and get my metabolism up to speed before I could hope to see noticeable results. The past few months have seen me incorporating a moderately vigorous fitness routine and dropping close to 20 pounds in a healthy manner.

To the people who take the time to visit this blog and take the time to read it despite my not being regular in updates, I would like to say Thank You very much and that I’ll make sure this blog has some good updates at least once a week.

Toodles!

Testing Still Going Strong

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ve had to move to India for the remainder of 2012. I’m still applying the pressure at the joints, but there has been little progress that is noticeable. I am sure that this is because of the lack of regularity in the loading process. I’m very hopeful and expect to see results in roughly 6-8 weeks. I’m also going through a very intensive gym routine consisting of 4 hours of burpees distributed over the course of 8 hours and a full body routine at the gym consisting of 2 exercises per each muscle set.

The idea is to maximize the amount of GH in my system. And a point of interest: one of my friends here is in medical school and according to him, the bones of a human male typically reach complete maturity at 25 years of age. I guess this spells new hope for people below that mark. I’m going to try to upload pictures starting from the next post.

Thanks for reading!

Testing Has BEGUN AGAIN!!!

I’m kinda rushed right now, but I’ve restarted the loading of the left ring finger again. I’ve upped the duration to 90 seconds for each loading point. Pictures will be uploaded in a couple of days. Wish me luck guys! I hope to be regular this time.

Additional considerations, starting on the 1st of August, I’m going to be beginning an intensive gym routine. An intense full body workout everyday (resistance training) in the evening and HIIT (just burpees) in the morning. It will be interesting to see how this affects any results I may achieve.

Any suggestions or tips welcomed. So are brickbats for my huge delays. From now on, I’ll try to have an update here every 3 – 4 days but loading will be done everyday. The thing is that in my new job, I’m kinda strapped for time and travelling a lot.

To all my readers: Thank You Very Much For Your Patience 🙂 & Sorry for my delays 😦

P.S., I’m going to India during the next week. Gym arrangements have been made over there. I’ll buy medium to large c clamps when I get there so loading won’t be affected.

UPDATE: Testing Will Resume After 5 Days

Hey Everybody! I can’t say how sorry I am about not posting any updates or anything else for that matter in the past few weeks. I’ve been travelling a lot on my job and was unable to give this facet of my interests any focus at all. My schedule is going to free up and I’m going to start afresh with more info, a better routine and hopefully, some interpretations of minigolfer’s blog too!

So Stay tuned everybody, I will be back!

Still on Track!

Hello again everybody!

I feel terrible for not posting anything all these days. It’s just that I’ve been travelling for the past few days and have now come back to base. I’ve still got the markers where I originally put them as I’ve been refreshing them everyday, so yeah, I intend to really do this and see it through to a proper conclusion.

Once again, I’m really really sorry and I’ll try rrreeeeeaaaaaaaaaallll hard to post regularly!

Update: Current Status

Hey everybody!

I’m sorry I was out of touch for such a long time. I’ve been extremely busy at work and hence, I’ve not been able to perform lsjl regularly for the past few days. I’m still refreshing the marks on my finger though so that the readings will still be accurate. I’ll definitely post a new update with pics tomorrow. Till then, thanks for visiting my blog and sorry for the delay.

Bye!
